Philip qualified from University College Hospital, London, in 1990, where he attained his BDS and LDS Diploma from the Royal College of Surgeons, London. He then joined a well-established family practice in Southend-on-Sea, Essex where he gained several years’ experience in General Dental Practice, together with various attachments in the local District General Hospital Oral Surgery department. Philip has been a lecturer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Royal London Hospital and is on the General Dental Council’s Specialist Register for Oral Surgery. He was amongst the first delegates to complete the highly acclaimed FGDP Diploma and Advanced Certificate in Implant Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons in 2004, and is now Tutor and Lecturer and on this prestigious course, and Examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. In 1995, in partnership with Sanjay Chopra, he established the Highland View Dental Surgeries two private specialist referral centres offering dental Implants, Sedation and Oral Surgery in Essex.
Philip is also an experienced SAAD trained sedationist, and member of The Dental Teachers Sedation Group, undertaking the full range of implant and surgical treatment under both local anaesthesia and IV sedation.
He has attended numerous advanced implant training courses both in the UK and abroad in USA, Germany, Sweden and Denmark. He regularly lectures on Implant Dentistry, Oral Surgery and Dental Sedation Essex and also acts as a mentor for many dental surgeons who wish to embark on the exciting field of Implant Dentistry offering them one-to-one and small group training and live surgery.
